Terrebonne is an off-island suburb of Montreal been founded in 1683. In the past this city is divided in three sectors, (Lachenaie, La Plaine and Terrebonne) Lachenaye, is the oldest of the three towns and they merged under the name of “Terrebonne” in 22 August 2001

Île-des-Moulins. The pre-industrial complex during the 19th century. The construction of the first flour mill in 1721 as well as the first saw mill around 1725.
