Sur Beach with Watchtowers

Sur -Use to play important in 6th century was an established centre for trade with East Africa. In the 16th century,  it was Portuguese under rule but was liberated by the Oman and under an economic revival, as a trade centre with India and and East Africa. This continued until the mid-19th century, when the British outlawed the slave trade. Located about 200 km from Muscat and where the visitors will relax and refreshing.

Arrive at the Sur Beach in the evening and watch a beautiful sunset by the beach. It is peaceful and more of a step back in time with Lighthouse and beautiful white houses view. We enjoy morning walk along the seaside with the fresh air so relaxing and we saw a local do morning walk, so friendly and after walk we had breakfast by the beach.

Lighthouse and Lovely town

Sur Lighthouse is one of must visit place in the city. The tower is a 18 m 3-story tower with a domed roof. Facing the Gulf of Oman and the highest east side point in Sur Harbour square.

You can walk along Sur beach you will see these 3 small round towers made of sandstone on the top of the hills and the scenic water view at the sunset make it your day and make the you will feel step back in time.
