The Muttrah Souq is one of the oldest marketplaces in Oman dating back 200 years and now is main tourists attraction, restaurant terraces and coffee cafes are often full when the weather are nice with blue sky. Now the Souq is not traditional anymore (In the past, the market was built from mud and palm leaves) and most of the goods goods sale here most are import but you can find local souvenir shops and bargaining is one of the interesting part of visiting the souq. Also you can visit Gold Souq located west end of the Souq it very impressive and huge you can shop for a good souvenir.
